Categories?

I like YouTube and the app is functional if I need it for a certain and specific thing but if I just want to browse and discover things at random, things that are new to me, I cant. The categories are gone and all I have are videos and channels Ive already subscribed to. I feel like Im missing out on 99% of YTs best videos because Im limited to the top 20 ish popular videos of the day (which often dont interest me) and videos that are basically replicas of videos I already watched. How do I discover anything new? How do I get out of the hellish loophole of my past usage? Please bring categories back, at the very least, and if possible, do a better job with discover options/features. Maybe learn a lesson from Spotify or something. Seemingly endless browsing features are how you keep people on your app... and youve eliminated those, soo... Im not really using this app much anymore.
