YouTube - Watch, Upload and Share Videos App Reviews

I know the purpose is to encourage use of the YouTube Red but even with that I cant watch while I work.

YouTube is amazing and awesome to watch and relax but recently after the last updates a bunch of things dont work and there are a ton of glitchs which make it hard to watch, especially when you try to go to full screen.

Sometimes the video is fully downloaded and I get a message out of the blue, after I quit only for a second to reply, when I come back all the downloaded video is lost and it downloads the rest of video again!

Swiping a video down to do anything else in the app and the video you had open will disappear, but keep playing.

Since the recent update I cant load random videos on YouTube. Its not my phone and not my internet connection, it just has the spinning loading sign that never goes away...

i am having so much trouble watching youtube on my computer and phone. On my computer the video goes so fast that i cant even watch it. It happens on iphone too, and its getting very annoying. Can you please fix this?

Love it, great quality, and its made by Google! I really recommend this app!

The sharing feature isnt working correctly.

YouTube, fix this ASAP! I cant enjoy anything without it crashing now ! This never happened before , Until I upgraded it to the latest! Not pleased

The latest update (June 27) fix the problem for voiceover users. now I can go through my library playlist without the app crashing! Thank you.

I CLICK A VIDEO, IT PLAYS FOR 32 SECONDS AND THEN IT STOPS!

Landscape support please! I am so tired of watching videos then turning my phone to navigate afterwards.

I dont understand why we need to be on wifi to watch videos in full HD ?

I love the YouTube app! But lately its been going down hill. These new menus are confusing and I dont know what half of them do! The main problem is that you cant watch videos. I have deleted and re-downloaded this app multiple times. It doesnt seem to fix the bug. I will sit right next to our router on the fastest wifi and it will still buffer and wont even play 1080p and I HAVE AN IPHONE 7 so when I go on VERIZON LTE (5 full bars). IT STILL BUFFERS AND LOADS AND CANT PLAY 1080p. This problem is not my devices not wifi. I HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR MONTHS AND NOTHING IS GETTING DONE TO FIX THIS. My rating is not going down to a three. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!! Note: I have a iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 9.7 . Other people with 5, 5s, 6, 6s are also having these problems. This is really ruining YouTube

So I think you tube is great out standing all of my fav YouTubers are on YouTube me (well duh) no complaints for me really

Its pretty good but please change the UI, doesnt look very nice. Other than that, great app!

The update on June 27 2017 makes me unable to hear any video and I hear a loud buzzing. Please fix

Clarification: (06/27/2017): I havent installed todays update yet, but my review below seems to be showing in Current Reviews. FYI. Ive never had a problem streaming videos from the app on Wi-Fi until early Jun update. I mainly use it to catch up on news using the network/shows official YT channel so the video quality was neveran issue. Now, the player suddenly starts skipping a few seconds of the video while streaming, and the quality of the video, in general, is much worse. This is on an iPhone 6s with iOS 10.3.2. I checked my Wi-F network, but connection was fine and no problems with other apps. It clearly is YouTube app issue. The problem seems more like odd buffering than just skipping. The video quality starts breaking down quickly as the sound fades, then the video kind of shudders inaudibly through a few seconds of streaming. It starts streaming normally again. This cycle of shuddering/streaming continues about every 30 secs throughout the video clip. Ill see if it improves, but the app is too irritating to use right now. I dont know what happened, but I hope it is fixed soon.

YouTube should be independent and let users decide the quality over cellular data and not sing the tune in favor of the carrier (Verizon) Shame on you YouTube
