Remember the good old days of the iTouch 2 with its own YouTube app not this stuff? Outdated but it is more stable

Its a great app, though, when are you guys gonna add a loop option?

I like YouTube and the app is functional if I need it for a certain and specific thing but if I just want to browse and discover things at random, things that are new to me, I cant. The categories are gone and all I have are videos and channels Ive already subscribed to. I feel like Im missing out on 99% of YTs best videos because Im limited to the top 20 ish popular videos of the day (which often dont interest me) and videos that are basically replicas of videos I already watched. How do I discover anything new? How do I get out of the hellish loophole of my past usage? Please bring categories back, at the very least, and if possible, do a better job with discover options/features. Maybe learn a lesson from Spotify or something. Seemingly endless browsing features are how you keep people on your app... and youve eliminated those, soo... Im not really using this app much anymore.

This app is useless because you cant play the video while actively running another app. If you want to play a YouTube video, you can only watch the YouTube video.smh cant even reply to a text. 2016 you gotta do better

The home screen is now horrible it shows a few and and its not in categories like before the update hate it

Because its almost impossible to hit the button to exit full screen or try to scrub through a full screen video. You end up tapping/grabbing the related videos at the bottom (WHY AT THE BOTTOM? Put them on the right hand side or something!)

I do not like the recent update to where it automatically plays the next video. It is very inconvenient! Please put the button somewhere more visible..

I like the app but since I got this app how has there been NO subtitles button??? Is that actually hard to implement into that app? I just wish there was some subtitles

Home screen is unorganized, WAY TOO BIG, and contains little videos to select from. older version was so much better.

Should have left it alone, no longer an app on my phone.

Please give us the option of turning off auto play; as in completely removing it from the videos I watch. Oh and the home screen is disgusting, its harder to navigate to a video that I want to watch.

Wont play any Videos it will freeze

Why, oh why, Did you expect us to let this fly Trending, and home page, Are not wanted- but fine. If it doesnt cause me harm, Or sometimes adds some charm- Then I wont complain; I swear, I wont lift an arm. Yet recently, Google, you made a huge mistake, You added a "feature", and caused my soul to ache So listen to my plea- And dont think it fake. I hate Autoplay- we all do, It was such a stupid idea, I have no idea from who Why would you think that any of us would want this, Why would you believe that that would be true. I hate the stupid arrow, that skips to the next vid, I hate that you cant change it, to make the feature hid Please change this back Google; Its one of the stupidest things you did. I know you work hard, and hate to retract, But please listen to our criticisms, oh please wont you act Just get rid of it, Please just backtrack. I love your app Google, though it may have its faults, Everyone has problems, fences we must vault But this one Google, is such an easy thing, Just take it back for once- and rid me of my salt.

The newest update on the IOS YouTube app has added a plethora of new features; most of them I do not approve of. One of the new features is the auto play function and the arrows on each side of the screen to go to the next video. This new feature is very inconvenient because the arrows cover too much of the screen and are very easily accidentally clickable. This causes the user to go to the next video even when they don not want to. The second useless and annoying feature added is the screen getting darker and eventually turning off. The arrows on the screen caused a mild problem, but this screen thing is a MAJOR inconvenience. Many times, I like to watch a video while I do some work, so I have to set down the iPhone in order to actually do the work. But, now I cant do this because the screen gets darker and turns off if you leave it alone for too long ,(even when a video is playing). This is inconvenient because if someone is watching a cooking tutorial on YouTube and they have their hands full, they will not be able to tap the screen every fifteen seconds to keep it up. These are my main two complaints about the app. It was fine before this useless new update. I strongly urge the app developers to change it back to the way it used to be where there are no arrows on the screen, and you dont have to tap the screen every few seconds. A few days after writing the few paragraphs above, I have found that I am literally not capable of playing any videos on the YouTube app. The pictures and thumbnails do not load at all, and when I try to play the video, it says something like "error. Tap to try again". Thats not because my internet is bad, I am still able to access all other apps. It is only YouTube. Please change the app back to how it was. Maybe this is happening to me because I use an iPhone 4s.

The new home screen is so annoying, the old one was better. Aldo the app keeps freezing when I turn my phone sideways and wont allow me to do anything so I have to close the app. The app Also closes and takes me back to my home screen when I try to open it.

Really youtube? This new update is total garbage. You cant navigate to anything from the home screen. All it is are videos i have 0 interest in. What happend to the tabs where i could see my page and my history and playlist? Like seriously. Yall tried to fix what wasnt broke and wound up screwing it all up. I never write reviews. But this new update is trash.

I have Wi-Fi in a says I dont have Wi-Fi and it wont let me play anything but Siri can work in the Internet can work I have an iPod touch so thats why and please fix it its really annoying me!!!!

I literally spend all day on this. You can watch any video you want and it is so fun.

It would be better if u will be able to play music on locked screen. It can save battery life
