YouTube - Watch, Upload and Share Videos App Reviews

Its good, same as always, just one problem. The shuffle button is missing and I nearly deleted my music playlist. Other than that, its good.

App is good, except it need a SEPARATE VOLUME CONTROL. While I am casting or screen mirroring to my smart TV, I need the app to allow the volume of a video playing on my television, to be different than the volume on my device.

Great app. Wish there was an easier way to pause video history while watching unrelated videos since it connects to YT Music.

Every time I leave the app or lock the screen the YouTube app forgets that I was casting and I have to press the cast button again if I want to use the playback controls or pick another video, this is the only app that has this issue with casting which is ironic cause I assume the majority of “casting” to the chromecast happens with the YouTube app. Please fix this bug once and for all.

But the app is a bug filled mess even with this supposed bug fix release. I dont really understand how they keep going back and forth with third-party keyboard applications working one version, and crashing with the next. Fix this, creates a very non unifying experience when you arent able to type with your preferred keyboard through the comments section.

It appears offline when i am online. Game online playable, applestore accessicble etc. only the youtube prgm is said offline. There is no option to turn prgm back online.

The title explains itself

I have the iPhone 7s and I don’t know if this is unique to the phone, but I am unable to go back to the previous video. Sometimes I watch a video and I’ll click a thumbnail from the suggested list below. Then I’ll want to go back to the original video, but there’s no way to do that. If I swipe down, then I’m taken to my original search or the home page.

I cant look at three comments in the comment section before the whole app freezing

The new video controls make all of the functionality of the app over the website gone and its now more difficult and harder to control than before. The new slip that you pull down from a video is worse and looks terrible plus it’s harder to use and inefficient if I could I would go back a update. The old slide down and a small box on the corner is just simple and easy.

Would give 5 stars but lately when a video I’m watching has an ad in the middle of it, the ad will be like a frozen screen and I can still hear my video playing in the background and then after like 5 seconds the ad actually starts playing then the video isn’t where it was when the ad started, it’s like way further. I probably explained that horribly ? sorry!!

Seriously, each update is only making things more confusing, theyre not even helping anymore. And of course each new update brings along a new wave of bugs that force you to close out of the app, EVERY SINGLE TIME. Find an easy to navigate layout and stick with it, whats so hard with that?

Jesus YouTube, how many times do I have to mark Not Interested on a video then tell you that it is because Ive already watched it, before you stop putting it on my suggestions? Why is it there if you are not going to take the info and stop making the videos Ive watched come up?

I can’t open the app every time the YouTube red news pops up on the first page it freezes and crashs and I can’t get into YouTube now

YouTube is a great app for a great video service. Period. However, they need to fix few things. The most important is to fix the excessive battery consumption when YouTube app is left in the background. I don’t have Red subscription, no background action should be performed.

Recommended videos are broken. It’s not refreshing main page. Fix it, guys! It’s terrible.

Why is your Apple TV app the worst version of YouTube for any device? Annoyingly slow navigation. No “i” selection for related videos. Takes forever to refresh content when the app is unused for a while.
