YouTube - Watch, Upload and Share Videos App Reviews

I love this app, don’t get me wrong. Until this last update I was obsessed with surfing the videos it had in store for me. But after the last update I noticed that my phone turns itself off due to inactivity after about 2 minutes into a video. Wether or not it’s due to the update... I don’t know. But if there is a fix please tell me.

I loved this app. It was my life. Until today, when I saw this STUPID Update. Now, half my recommendations are channels I never even watched and never want to watch and dont care about and will never subscribe to. Also no more channel recommendations. I used to love this app, but now I hate it. Im only giving it 4 stars because of the positive experience I has earlier with the app. If it werent for that, Id give it 1 star. MAKE IT HOW IT WAS BEFORE THE UPDATE. BRING BACK CHANNEL RECOMMENDATIONS AND MAKE THE RECOMMENDATIONS ACCURATE AND NOT HAVE MOST OF THEM STUFF I WILL NEVER WATCH.

(If you dont like dorks, ignore this strange and random review) I love the app works beautifully and has multiple things to do, my fave part is what they put in the update box, their word choice and jokes let you know that its run by light hearted and funny people that probably enjoy their job, I like the update comments most literally because theyre funny. (Then again Im very weird so like I said ignore this strange and random review.)

YouTube has helped me learn a lot of valuable information (i.e. for school and stuff) for at least 5 years. If I could, I’d protect YouTube with my soul, but I can’t, since my soul has already been sold to YouTube itself. Paradoxical coincidence? 100% yes. But, on that note, I recommend this app to those who are looking for a place to learn, laugh, and live together. And, to those who want to start their own fabulous channel, go for it!

You think by now YouTube would be able to close so you can use other apps well listening to music... please fix this on your next update!!!!!!!! It would be very much appreciated!

YouTube is one of my fav apps but I hate that when an ad comes it take forever to load also if you want to comment it doesnt let me other than that is is pretty good

I’m so used to turning my phone to the side to watch videos full screen, it was so easy. Suddenly nothing happens and I have to manually hit a button in order to get in and out of full screen? What on earth is the point of removing a feature that makes it easier to watch videos??? I hate it so much

Please YouTube, fix the laggy app interface during scrolling through the comments and laggy control center/dropping a lot of frames, only in this app!

App is missing the ability to play content in the background or PIP.

Oh my gosh! Can you please calm down with the ads!! Everything else is fine but the ads are annoying, I know why there are ads and I don’t mind them it’s the fact that the ads are way too long and you can’t skip them...

I’ve noticed after the latest iOS update that YouTube has been freezing!! While I’m watching a video it freezes while the audio keep playing every minute or so. I can’t go through a video without it freezing at least 10 times!! It’s annoying please fix it!!

Stutters, Judders, and jank.

I think I MIGHT have watched a gaming livestream ONCE. Now YouTubes algorithms seem to think that gaming livestreams are my favorite thing in the world. It doesnt matter how many times I click "not interested" to remove them from my feed, every time I refresh I have 10-12 new GTA V, World of Warcraft, and other random gaming livestreams in my feed. If I click the "tell us why" option, I have three options: already watched the video; dont like the video; not interested in the channel. Any of those options only seem to suggest to the algorithm that I just want to watch gaming livestreams from a DIFFERENT channel. No. I. Do. Not. Want. To. Watch. ANY. Gaming. Livestreams. If I ever decide that I do, I know how to type, "please show me a gaming livestream from some random person I dont care about" in the search bar. The video feed is already weak and biased towards view numbers on this app. But the constant livestreams in my feed that I couldnt possibly care less about have found a way to make it even worse. How about putting some content from channels I actually subscribe to in my feed? Crazy, I know. I mean, literally every other video in my feed is a GTA V livestream. I dont see how it benefits your business model to constantly "suggest" videos I have absolutely NO intention of watching or generating ad revenue for.

It would have gotten 5 stars, but a bug I have is when I’m posting/replying/editing a comment after Its been posted I can’t control the app PERIOD. PLZ,PLZ,PLLLLLZ FIX IT.

the app is great but I was suggesting adding these two things. One is adding landscape mode and another is adding default quality. I want landscape mode be use it is annoying going to portrait mode and selecting a new video. My friend’s Samsung s7 has landscape mode but iPhone does not. And I wanted default quality because it is annoying me tapping 1080p every time I relaunch the app.

So what I have to say is that yt is okay it’s good to use by every time I look up a song I want to listen it doesn’t pop up for example: I type in pills and automobiles and it doesn’t give me the it gives other ppl singing it and piano plays if it And just to notify that this is the 8+I’m using

I am absolutely disappointed in the efforts put into improving this app. Each time i attempt to post a comment, all the buttons freeze up and i have to close the app to use it again. whenever i pause the video in fullscreen mode, the button doesn’t disappear completely, the controls no longer work and i can’t turn my device into portrait mode without closing out the app completely. The advertisements are very annoying now that they play randomly in the middle of each video instead of only in the beginning with the skip ad button becoming less present.
